Plant Safety Agreement
Broad Creek PSD uses hazardous chemicals during the treatment process of wastewater. Some of these chemicals, such as the gas chlorine used during the disinfection process, have the potential to become hazardous to the public if a release of the chemical were to occur. Broad Creek PSD is committed to conducting its operations to the safest extent possible so as to minimize the impact to the safety and health of employees, the public, and the natural environment. Your understanding of the importance of evacuating during the event of an emergency, by signing this agreement, will provide Broad Creek PSD with documentation that you were informed and agreed to leave the premises if you were asked to do so.
ln the event that the person or company is on the Broad Creek PSD Wastewater Treatment Plant property during a Chlorine Emergency, and Broad Creek PSD personnel asks me/us to leave the Premises, I/we agree to leave the premises immediately.
